The Quantitative Middle Office Specialist will be a full-time role located in Chicago, IL. The individual will work closely with the trading, operations, and accounting teams to provide efficient and effective collaboration. This individual will be given a large amount of autonomy in decision-making and be responsible for automating internal processes. The individual will need to work on multiple projects simultaneously and display excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. This role requires someone who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The individual needs to be intellectually curious, determined, reliable, and steadfast in carrying out their duties.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in trading, operations, or accounting at a proprietary trading firm
Experience working in a broker-dealer environment
Currently hold or willing to obtain FINRA Series 24 licensure
Currently hold or willing to obtain FINRA Series 27 licensure
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel required
Experience with C++ is a plus
Knowledge of proprietary trading firms and how they function
Can clearly communicate ideas
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to critically think
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
History of successful task automation and operational advancement
